Terms of Sale and License Agreement
Last updated: September 21, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Trisdia, LLC (“Trisdia,” “we,” “us”), the maker of BezelMouse. They cover downloading and trying BezelMouse, buying a license, and using the app. By downloading, installing or using BezelMouse, or by buying a license, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use BezelMouse.
The short version: try it free for 30 days. If you buy it, you pay once, and your license covers every Mac you use yourself, for as long as you like, with free updates to the version you bought. A new major version later on is an optional paid upgrade, cheaper for people who already own an earlier one. Not for you? Ask for a refund within 14 days. Keep your license key to yourself, and use BezelMouse only on Macs you are allowed to control.
1. The free trial
- You can use every feature of BezelMouse free for 30 days, starting the first time you open it. There is no account, and we never ask for payment details to start the trial.
- After 30 days, BezelMouse keeps running but stops moving the pointer between Macs until a license key is entered. To keep using it that way, buy a license.
- Please do not try to reset, extend or get around the trial.
2. Buying a license
- Price. The price is shown on the site before you buy, in US dollars, and it is a one-time payment. Nothing renews. Stripe may show it in your local currency and add sales tax or VAT where it applies. If we change the price later, it does not affect a license you have already bought.
- Who takes the payment. Checkout runs on Stripe Managed Payments. Link, Stripe’s payment service, processes your payment, collects and pays any sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt, and your purchase appears as “Sold through Link.” Link’s own terms apply to the payment itself. These terms apply to BezelMouse and your license.
- Your key. After your payment goes through, we show your license key on the thank-you page and email it to the address you used at checkout. If you lose it, you can have it sent again from the support page.
- Before you buy. BezelMouse needs a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 13 Ventura or later, on every Mac you connect. Intel Macs are not supported. Please use the free trial to check that it works with your Macs, network and setup before you buy.
3. Refunds
- If BezelMouse is not for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of buying, for any reason, through the contact form. Include your order number or the email address you bought with. We refund the full amount to your original payment method.
- Link may also refund a purchase under its own policies.
- When a purchase is refunded, or the payment is disputed or charged back, the license that came with it ends and its key stops working. A Mac with a license key downloads a list of refunded orders from us about once a day; once the key’s order is on it, BezelMouse goes back to the free trial’s terms, and stops moving the pointer between Macs if the trial is over. A Mac that has not gone online since may keep working for a while; you agree to stop using a refunded key and remove it from your Macs.
- Nothing in these terms takes away a right to cancel, withdraw or get a refund that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.
4. Your license
When you buy BezelMouse and for as long as you follow these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the version of BezelMouse you bought, and every update we release for that version, on any number of Macs that you personally use. Perpetual means it does not expire: that version stays yours whatever we release later. Section 7 says which releases a license covers and which are a separate purchase.
- One license, one person. A license covers one named person: whoever the order is for, at the email address on it. Every Mac that person uses themselves is covered, at home and at work, with no limit on how many. It does not cover anyone else. Family, housemates, friends and colleagues each need their own license to use BezelMouse on their own Macs, even when they share a desk, a home, an office or a network with you, and a license cannot be given, sold or passed on to another person.
- Businesses and teams. A company may buy a license, but it still covers one named person, and that person’s Macs. We do not sell team, site or volume licenses yet, and one license may not be shared between employees or installed for staff generally. Until we offer something for teams, the way to cover several people is a license each. If you need that, or want telling when a team license exists, tell us what you need.
- It is a license, not a sale of the software. Trisdia, LLC owns BezelMouse and all rights in it, and keeps every right not given to you here.
- How we check. While BezelMouse has your license key, it asks bezelmouse.com about once a day for the list of keys that no longer work. With that request it sends a one-way code made from your order number and a one-way code made from an identifier for that Mac, so we can count how many different Macs one key is being used on. The code for the Mac is only a number to us: it tells one Mac apart from another and says nothing about which Mac it is. The code for your order we can match back to the order, and so to your email address, because that is how we write to you if a key turns up on far more Macs than one person uses. We use them for nothing else. The check is part of using a licensed copy and cannot be switched off, for the same reason a refunded key has to stop working. A copy with no license key never asks us anything, and a Mac that is offline keeps working with the list it already has. The privacy policy says what we keep, for how long, and how to ask us about it.
5. What you may not do
Unless the law allows it despite this limit, you may not:
- share, publish, sell or give away your license key, or use someone else’s;
- get around, disable or change the trial or the license check, or help anyone else do that;
- copy, change or make other works from BezelMouse, other than installing it on your Macs as described above;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble BezelMouse;
- rent, lease, lend, resell or sublicense BezelMouse, or offer it as a service to others; or
- remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notice in BezelMouse.
6. Using BezelMouse responsibly
- BezelMouse controls the pointer and keyboard of the Macs you connect, and it needs macOS permissions to do that, including Accessibility and Local Network access. Only install it on Macs you own or are allowed to control. If a Mac belongs to your employer or school, following their rules is up to you.
- Your Macs talk to each other directly over your own network. Keeping that network, and the pairing codes you use, secure is up to you.
- Do not use BezelMouse to break the law or to access a computer without permission.
7. Updates and new versions
- Updates are free. Every update we release for the version you bought is included at no extra charge. An update is a release with the same major version number: 1.1, 1.2 and 1.9 are all updates to 1.0.
- A new major version is a separate purchase. Now and then we release a new major version, such as 2.0, with substantial new work in it. Your license does not cover it. Taking it is optional: the version you bought keeps working, we do not switch you to it, and we do not turn it off.
- Upgrade price, and a 90-day grace period. If you own an earlier major version, you can buy the new one at an upgrade price lower than the full price. If you bought your license within the 90 days before a new major version was released, that upgrade is free: write to us through the contact form and we will send you a key.
- Old versions stay available. Every version you have bought remains available to download for as long as we run this site. If you need an earlier one, ask through the contact form.
- BezelMouse checks bezelmouse.com for new versions and tells you when one is available. It installs an update only when you choose to, and you can turn the check off in its settings.
- We decide what goes into updates. We may change or remove features, and we are not required to keep releasing updates or to support new versions of macOS or new Macs, though we intend to.
- Macs connected to each other need the same version of BezelMouse.
8. Privacy
BezelMouse does not need an account and does not send your activity to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what the site collects when you download, buy or contact us.
9. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything. You do not have to send any.
10. No warranty
We work hard on BezelMouse and hope you love it, and the free trial is there so you can make sure it suits you. But TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, BEZELMOUSE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not promise that BezelMouse will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every Mac, network, app or accessory, or that it will keep working with future versions of macOS.
11. Limit of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS: (a) TRISDIA, LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, WORK OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO BEZELMOUSE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE; AND (b) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO BEZELMOUSE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE, OR US$10 IF YOU HAVE NOT BOUGHT ONE.
Some places do not allow these exclusions or limits, so some of them may not apply to you. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. When the license ends
- Your license ends if the purchase is refunded or charged back, as described in section 3.
- It also ends if you break these terms in a serious way, such as sharing your key or getting around the license check. Where the count described in section 4 shows one key in use on far more Macs than one person plausibly uses, we will write to the email address on your order first. If that has not changed within 14 days of our email, we may revoke the key: every Mac using it then stops moving the pointer between Macs, on its next daily check, and carries on as an unlicensed copy. Ending a license this way is not a refund and does not entitle you to one.
- When a license ends, you must stop using BezelMouse beyond the free trial and remove the license key. Sections 3, 5, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 15 still apply after it ends.
13. Export
You agree to follow US and other export and sanctions laws that apply to you and to BezelMouse, and not to use or send BezelMouse anywhere those laws do not allow.
14. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
- Before starting any legal claim, please tell us about the problem through the contact form and give us 30 days to try to put it right.
- Any legal claim that is not resolved that way will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Washington, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring a claim in a small claims court where it qualifies.
- If you are a consumer, this section does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of the country or state where you live, or your right to bring a claim in its courts where those laws give you that right.
15. General
- Changes. We may update these terms, and we will change the date at the top when we do. A change applies to purchases and updates after it is posted. It does not take away a license you have already bought or shorten the refund window on an existing purchase.
- Whole agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about BezelMouse, and they replace anything said before about it.
- If part does not hold. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, that part is limited as little as needed and the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce part of these terms at some point, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer. You may not transfer these terms or your license to anyone else. We may transfer them to a business that takes over BezelMouse, and your license continues under the same terms.
- Things outside our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we cannot reasonably control.
